Doug has been involved in art his entire life but began tattooing as an infantryman with the U.S.Army in Iraq. After returning home, Discovery Channel chose him to co-host the TV show "Fight Quest". The show granted him the privilege to travel around the world, meet new and interesting people, and then get beat up by them. The show filmed 13 episodes and went on hiatus. Still interested in tattooing, he inquired at Jersey Tattoo Co. for a job, and seeing that he had some good work under his belt, Doug was hired. Tommy trained Doug, helping him to refine his skills, and certified him as a tattooist.
